Communications
Director of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, lawyer Sarfo Duku, has confirmed an official
bid from Zambian club ZESCO United for strikers Songne Yacouba and Emmanuel
Gyamfi.

Yacouba
has attracted interest from several clubs in Africa following his explosive
performance in the ongoing CAF Confederation Cup.

After the two-legged tie in Kumasi and Ndola, which ended 3-3 on aggregate, management of ZESCO United were impressed with the performance of the Burkinabe forward and are ready to lure him and 22-year-old Gyamfi from the team.

Meanwhile,
Mr Duku says they can’t do anything if the players themselves are willing to
go.

“Our
first step is to maintain the players but as management, when players decide to
go and you don’t take care, you will end up losing everything,” he said.

“When
it happens that we have done all we could but not able to maintain the players,
we will not let them use technicalities to go free without any profit,” he
added.

Asante
Kotoko take on AshantiGold SC in match-day 3 of the Normalisation Committee
Special Competition tomorrow.
