Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has stirred controversy on social media with a statement regarding DNA testing.
In an Instagram post on February 21, he asserted that any woman who refuses a DNA test when requested is “hiding something.”
Edochie wrote: “Any woman who refuses to do DNA test on her child when it is demanded, is hiding something. Don’t fall for any excuse she gives to you. She is hiding something. A clear conscience fears nothing.”
His remarks ignited a heated debate, drawing mixed reactions. While some supported his stance, others criticized him, pointing out the irony given the turbulence in his personal life.
Edochie’s marital troubles have been widely discussed in recent years. In April 2022, he shocked fans by introducing actress Judy Austin as his second wife and announcing the birth of their son.
His first wife, May Edochie, to whom he had been married for over 17 years and with whom he shares four children, was devastated. She later filed for divorce in 2023, citing emotional distress, betrayal, and public humiliation.
