The Omanhene of Akuapem, Oseadeeyo Kwasi Akufo III, has lauded Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the running mate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), for his humility and dedication.

The chief called on Dr. Opoku Prempeh to work diligently to help the NPP’s Flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, achieve success.

Oseadeeyo Kwasi Akufo III made these remarks during a courtesy call by Dr. Opoku Prempeh and his entourage.

He expressed his belief that there is something special about Dr. Opoku Prempeh that led Dr. Bawumia to choose him as his running mate.

The chief reiterated that it takes  humility and hard work in making a positive impact on the campaign.

Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, in response, acknowledged the significant role that traditional authorities play in national development.

He highlighted that, despite chiefs not being directly involved in politics, their contributions to the country’s development efforts are invaluable.
