National Youth Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) George Opare Addo has described Abetifi Member of Parliament, Bryan Acheampong as a coward who must not be taken seriously.
Pablo as he is popularly known said this on Adom FM’s morning show, Dwaso Nsem Monday.
“Nobody should take Bryan Acheampong serious; he is a coward. People like him who always make noise people and those who beat war drums are the first to run when there is violence,” he criticised.
This comes after the Minister of Food and Agriculture, Bryan Acheampong reiterated that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will use every means to win the 2024 elections.
Dr Acheampong had in March said the NPP would remain in power at all costs and not hand over power to the NDC but his comments were widely condemned.
According to Pablo, it is unfortunate for Dr Acheampong who is a Minister and MP elected through a democratic process to speak that way.
However, Mr Addo said he was not surprised, citing similar comments made by President Akufo-Addo who is the leader of the NPP.
“Unfortunately, Bryan Acheampong has been made Agric Minister and as MP and it was through a democratic process. So he must know it is the will of the people that decides not wishes. But you can’t blame him because even Akufo-Addo said he will hand over to his own party,” he stated.
