Public Relations Officer of Asante Kotoko, Obed Acheampong has disclosed the club is yet to settle any issues with former coach, Michael Osei.
Michael Osei is demanding a severance package of GHC 110,000 in order to end their relationship.
Osei is however demanding GHC 60,000 for his salary accumulation for the 20 months left on his employment contract.
The former New Edubiase coach was re-assigned to the club’s youth team after the appointment of Zdravko Lugarusic as the head coach of the club but the former assistant and caretaker coach rejected the move.
“Michael Osei was at the stadium to watch our match against Elmina Sharks and we spoke to him so I don’t think there will be any effect on the team.” He told Asempa FM.
“Everything is moving on smoothly and we are talking to him behind closed doors and I believe we will settle those issues in no time.
“We will all go into agreement and from there we will get to know whether to continue our relationship with him or not.
“Michael Osei said he is not happy with the new position the club has given him so he wants the club to meet him so both parties can dissolve their friendship but it will all depend on the outcome after the meeting with Michael Osei.
“If he agrees that he will not do the work again then we will get him a compensation but as it stands we are yet to settle everything with him.” He added.
Michael Osei was given the mandate to take charge of the club when David Duncan was asked to step aside by the Opoku Nti led management.
