A New Jersey woman has been arrested and charged with fatally shooting her lesbian wife in the face at their home on Sunday.
According to the New York Daily News, Police stormed the couple home after a relative reported a possible assault.
They found 29-year-old Felicia Dormans with a gunshot wound in the face at the home. She died at the scene. The shooter was her wife identified as Laura Bluestein, 28.
A motive for the shooting is still unclear, but police say they are still investigating the gruesome incident.
Bluestein who was arrested at the scene without any injury on her body, has been charged with first-degree murder, weapons possession and tampering with evidence.
She was booked into Burlington County jail awaiting a court appearance at Superior Court Monday.
According to the couple’s Facebook information, the couple had only been married since 2016.
