I will slap Yunyoo MP – NDC executive

-

A polling station executive of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has threatened to slap the Member of Parliament (MP) for Yunyoo for claiming that former President John Mahama is ‘incompetent’ to lead the party into the 2020 elections.

Yakubu Tony Aidoo speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen Programme Wednesday said he would meet the Legislator at the premises of Parliament and give him a hefty slap for daring to ‘insult the intelligence of all the members of the NDC and the persons who voted for John Mahama’

“Tell him that if he jokes with us, we will meet him in front of Parliament and slap him, I am forewarning the IGP that I will beat up Naabu and slap him…,” he fumed.

Joseph Naabu Bipoba has come under serious attacks from persons who own allegiance to the John Mahama camp of the NDC for claiming that the former President is unfit to lead the umbrella party once more.

The MP during an interview in Parliament with Adom News had described the former President with as ‘incompetent’, a word which the former President detested its usage on his administration while in office.

According to the MP, the former President Mahama will be a bad choice for the NDC.

“He was the president and contest with Nana Akufo-Addo and lost miserably so if President Mahama comes, what is he going to do, is he the only person” he quizzed.

To him the former President Mahama is to blame for NDC’s shameful defeat in the 2016 general elections because he surrounded himself with political neophytes like former Communications Minister, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah at the presidency “who told him nothing but lies”.

“People at the presidency were just telling him lies. Take Omane Boamah, what experience has he got in politics? If he goes to contest an election at where he comes from, can he win but the president was listen to such people?” he asked.

Hon. Yunyoo was convinced that if the former President is made flagbearer of the NDC in the 2020 elections, “he [Mahama] will mess up more”.

The NDC MP urged former President Mahama not to heed to the call of ‘bootlickers and save the little integrity left’.

“I want to tell you categorically that if he [Mahama] comes, he will lose miserably [in the party’s primaries] so Mahama not to listen to his appointees” he stated.

These comments, the know scrap dealer in Kumasi said is an insult on the entire members of the NDC hence the threat to beat up the legislator.
