Member of Parliament for Jomoro in the Western Region, Hon. Dorcas Affo-Toffey has shared plans to potentially pass her political mantle to her daughter, singer Fantana.
In a video making rounds on social media, the lawmaker affirmed her support for the “So What” singer to follow in her footsteps. When asked about Fantana running for the Jomoro Constituency seat, she said, “Yes… sure. For the same constituency.”
Discussing when this transition might happen, Hon. Affo-Toffey stated, “Maybe two more terms, I will hand over to her.”
Fantana, responding to her mother’s comments, said, “I will be 35,” to which the MP added, “You will be matured then.”

During the interaction, Hon. Affo-Toffey, dressed in an all-white ensemble, explained her choice of outfit, saying it symbolized victory. Fantana elaborated, describing the attire as,
“Victory class, elegance… everything put together.”
Meanwhile, Fantana’s younger sister, who travelled from the United States to witness President Mahama’s swearing-in and celebrate their mother’s achievements, praised their mother, saying, “My mum is amazing. She has done a lot. I have been to the constituency many times. We are a very close family… even in the States.”
The video has since sparked discussions about Fantana’s potential political ambitions and whether she might one day step into her mother’s shoes as the MP for Jomoro.
