The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has described as false media reports that, its Pharmacy Department, has created a vaccine for the deadly coronavirus which has claimed over 81 lives.
A statement signed by the university’s Relations Officer, Dr Daniel Norris Bekoe, urged the public to disregard such reports.
The report, circulating on social media, claimed an eight-member team, made up of students, worked on the vaccine supervised by one Professor Dr Israel Nluki.
But, the statement copied to Adomonline.com, said “Prof Nluki has no affiliation with KNUST.”
