We’re too obsessed with corruption fight; let’s focus on real development – Dan Lartey Jr.

The Presidential candidate of the Great Consolidated Popular Party (GCPP) Daniel Augustus Lartey Jr., wants Ghanaians to channel more of their energies into fixing the country rather than focusing on corruption.

According to him, each time corruption is mentioned, there is so much speculation about it that most citizens and leaders focus on ending it rather than addressing other pertinent national issues.

Speaking in an interview on Joy News’ AM Show, he said “We should focus our energies in trying to fix this country than going about corruption. Yes, there might be corruption but how factual is it?” There is a lot of hearsay.”

Dr Lartey explained that, a lot of resources have been wasted under the guise of fighting corruption, which is an age-old problem.

He said it is best to give corruption the necessary attention only when there is sufficient evidence.

Meanwhile, he has pledged to transform Ghana into a self-reliant country through agriculture if he wins the upcoming elections.

The presidential candidate promised to create employment opportunities for the youth, particularly through farming, which he views as a vital tool for boosting and strengthening the Ghanaian economy.
