The People’s National Party (PNP) has announced its decision to remain non-aligned in the
upcoming December 7 2024 general election.
This decision according to the party reflects its unwavering commitment to our principles and mission of prioritizing the welfare of the vulnerable over partisan interests.
In a statement, the PNP said it would not endorse any candidate in this election but urged all Ghanaians, particularly its members, to prayerfully seek God’s direction.
“It is only through divine guidance that the nation can identify a leader who is truthful and capable of addressing the numerous challenges confronting Ghana.
“We also call on the Electoral Commission to ensure the election is conducted transparently and fairly. As the custodian of our democratic process, the EC has a crucial role in maintaining public trust by guaranteeing a credible and peaceful election,” the statement read in parts.
PNP has further appealed to the media for a responsible and balanced reporting that promotes unity and educates the public, ensuring that the electoral process is peaceful and informed.
“The PNP encourages all Ghanaians to embrace peace and reject violence. Let us approach this election as one people united by a shared destiny. Regardless of the outcome, we must come together as a nation to build a better future for all,” the statement added.
