We won’t meet NPP with Bibles while they use guns – Hannah Bissiw warns

The National Women’s Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr. Hannah Louisa Bissiw-Kotey, has issued a strong warning that the party will no longer tolerate what she describes as the ruling New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) sinister tactics.

Speaking on Accra FM, Dr. Bissiw-Kotey declared that the NDC will no longer respond passively to provocations,

The NDC Women’s leader said the era of “meeting the NPP with the Bible for the sake of peace” has come to an end.

She accused the NPP of betraying the cause of peace in Ghana’s political landscape, citing past incidents, particularly during the 2024 general elections.

According to her, the NPP resorted to violence while expecting the NDC to remain peaceful.

“Ghana’s democracy is suffering under the reign of the NPP,” she said, pointing to what she described as a turning point during the 2024 elections, where the military allegedly unleashed terror on innocent voters.

Dr. Bissiw-Kotey stressed that with the NDC’s revolutionary roots, the party will not hesitate to stand firm in future elections. She said the NDC will not entertain any calls for peace from the NPP unless they are grounded in justice.

“There can be no peace without justice,” she insisted, making it clear that the party will resist any actions by the NPP that undermine fairness in upcoming elections.

Dr. Bissiw-Kotey reiterated the NDC’s commitment to vigilance and resistance against any attempts to manipulate the electoral process or promote peace without addressing the core issue of justice.
