Asante Kotoko head coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum, has acknowledged that suffering a third consecutive defeat is far from ideal for the team.
After a promising start to the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season, the Reds have experienced a series of disappointing performances in recent weeks.
Their first loss came against Legon Cities at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, followed by a surprising 1-0 defeat to Heart of Lions at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.
Their struggles continued on Sunday with a 1-0 loss to Bechem United during Matchday 10 at Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park.
Speaking after the match, Narteh Ogum admitted the result was not favorable but expressed confidence that the team would work hard to turn things around in their upcoming matches.
“It is not good for Asante Kotoko to lose a third consecutive game, but the most important thing is that we can make sure that we turn the results around in our favor,” he said.
He further described the defeat as unfortunate.
“It’s an unfortunate loss if you look at the way we played. For me, we played well. We created decent chances that we could have converted.”
Following the defeat, Kotoko sit in 6th place with 15 points. They will look to bounce back when they host Nations FC in Matchday 11 at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.
