The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bolga All Stars, Basit Musah has watered down the expectation of fans of the club who believe their financial woes are over after the donation of Ibrahim Mahama saying the donation by the business tycoon cannot purchase a single player for the team in the upcoming Ghana Premier League.
President John Dramani Mahama’s brother Ibrahim Mahama made a donation of GH¢10,000 as a congratulatory present for their historic Ghana Premier League qualification but like the proverbial Oliver Twist, Bolga All Stars want more.
“I am sure you know football very well and you know how capital intensive it is. We appreciate the money he gave us, but we will need hundreds more of that because the money he donated to us can’t even sign a single player. We hope other benevolent people like him will follow suit and help us more” he told Kasapa Sports.
Bolga All Stars earned a place in Ghana’s top flight for the upcoming 2016/2017 season after winning the GN Bank Division One League Zone One.
Bolga All Stars are the first club from the Upper East Region to qualify to the Ghana top-flight.
