The Greater Accra Operations Commander of the Ghana Police Service, Chief Superintendent Kwesi Ofori is calling on the general public to assist police to arrest robbers who shot four police officers at Asore Danho, a suburb of Dansoman in Accra.
According to him, the police will not be deterred by the evil activities of criminals in the country.
“We will not be deterred from evils acts from criminals in the country. We will deal with them and make sure they are arrested and brought to book” he said.
Chief Supt. Kwesi Ofori comment follows the shooting of four police officers by some armed robbers at Dansoman.

Two other civilians, a man, and woman also sustained gunshot wounds according to the Greater Accra Regional Police Command.
The incident occurred at about 11 pm on Saturday.
The officers were responding to alerts of a robbery at a house in Dansoman but were shot at in their attempt to locate the specific house.
All the victims were rushed to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital by the driver of the Police vehicle who was waiting for his colleagues in the car.

One of the officers was shot in the chest and is currently in critical condition.
Chief Supt. Kwesi Ofori speaking on Adom FM’s morninghShow “Dwaso Nsem” said no arrest has so far been made.
According to him, the police officers were forced to shoot the robbers because the robbers had no respect for authority.

He, however, called on the general public to provide the police with relevant information on the robbers and criminal activities in the community to enhance their work.
Chief Supt. Kwesi Ofori says it is core to the development of the country as policing is a shared responsibility.
The officers he said are receiving treatment.
