The owner and President of FC Samartex, Dr. Richard Duah Nsenkyire has expressed confidence that his side will regain their form in the second half of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.
Despite being the defending champions, FC Samartex has struggled this season, currently sitting 10th on the league table with 17 points after 14 matches.
Their disappointing performance led to the dismissal of head coach Nurudeen Amadu.
However, as the second round of the campaign approaches, Dr Nsenkyire is optimistic about the team’s prospects.
“It has not been a good season for us. We have had some long-term injuries, and they are now recovering,” he told Asempa FM‘s Ultimate Sports Show.
“We recruited young players, and they are now growing into the team, and we had technical deficiencies, so by the time the next round kicks off, we will be on the right path.”
He also emphasized the importance of making their home ground a stronghold: “I can’t say we will win the Premier League, but we will ensure we will make our home grounds a fortress and turn things around, and make sure our fans enjoy our games.”
FC Samartex will kick off their second-round campaign with a home match against Nations FC on Matchday 15 at the DUN’s Park.
