Heart of Lions head coach, Bashir Hayford, has expressed the team’s ambition to clinch the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League title.
A 1-1 draw against Asante Kotoko on Sunday left the Kpando-based club in 3rd place on the league table with 41 points from 25 matches.
Speaking after the match, Hayford reaffirmed his team’s determination to secure the title by the end of the season.
“When we get the Premier League title, we will win it. We are targeting winning more of the remaining matches, and if we are up there at the end of the season, then we take it,” he said.
Asante Kotoko took the lead in the first half when Justice Blay scored with a brilliant finish during added time.
However, Heart of Lions responded quickly, equalizing just two minutes after the break through Fawzi Ali.
Heart of Lions will face Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park this weekend in their Matchday 27 fixture.
