Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum believes his team deserved a victory in their 1-1 draw against Medeama SC, describing the result as unrepresentative of their performance.
The Porcupine Warriors visited TNA Park on Sunday for their Matchday 16 fixture, taking the lead just before halftime.
Returnee striker Kwame Opoku continued his fine form, scoring in the 44th minute to give Kotoko an edge. Opoku’s goal marked his second in as many games since rejoining the club.
Medeama, however, levelled the score in the second half through Kamaradini Mamudu, forcing the match to end in a stalemate.
Speaking in his post-match interview, Coach Ogum expressed his dissatisfaction with the result.
“The scoreline is not a true reflection of the game. We had several chances and should have won the game,” Narteh Ogum said.
The draw leaves Asante Kotoko in 6th place on the league table with 28 points, just one point ahead of Medeama, who sit 7th with 27 points.
Looking ahead, Kotoko will host Vision FC in their Matchday 17 clash, while Medeama will travel to face Nsoatreman FC.
