Medeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko has urged his players to be more ruthless in finishing games after their hard-fought comeback victory against Basake Holy Stars on Tuesday at TNA Park.
Despite conceding an early goal, Medeama responded with goals from Kamaradini Mamudu and Derrick Fordjour to secure all three points.
Speaking after the match, Tanko expressed disappointment over his side’s failure to keep a clean sheet and their inability to close out games earlier.
“I think the boys did well; all the games we’ve played here, we score a lot of goals but, like I said the last time, we have to learn to kill the game even in the first half… we had the chances to score two or three goals in the first half then make it easier for us,” he said.
The win lifts Medeama to fourth place in the league standings with 38 points, and they now shift their focus to a crucial away fixture against Hearts of Oak this weekend.
