Normalization committee spokesperson Dan Kweku Yeboah has reiterated that Black stars Head coach James
James was given a two-year contract by the previous football administration, which runs from 2017 to May 2019.
Previously the AFCON was played in the month of January to the month of February before been scheduled to June.
According to Dan, the Minister of Youth and Sports Isaac Kwame Asiamah, the Normalisation committee chairman, Dr. Kofi Amoah and Black Stars head coach James Akwesi Appiah are negotiating over a new deal before the AFCON starts in June but as we speak now we have not renewed his contract yet.
Contractually Ghana will be without a coach before the AFCON in June if the coach contract is not renewed.
Dan Kweku Yeboah continued that Mr Asiamah has begun an initiative to start preparations for the Black stars so we have asked kwesi Appiah to bring his programs, the friendly matches he wants to play, where the team will camp to plan in advance, he added.
He continued that in their meeting with the president, His Excellency never made mention of him prosecuting former GFA president Kwesi Nyantakyi in their conversation.
