Hearts of Oak coach Aboubakar Ouattara credited his team’s hard work for their 2-0 victory over Medeama SC.
The Phobians secured the win on Friday night at T & A Park in a challenging Matchday 9 encounter.
Kwabena Boateng opened the scoring in the 63rd minute, and Mawuli Wayo added a second goal in the 87th minute, securing three important points.
Following the match, Ouattara praised his team’s commitment, which he believes is driving their progress in the Ghana Premier League this season.
“This is football. We won because of our hard work. We will keep working hard, and for the next match, we will put in even more effort,” he said.
“Every game, we step onto the pitch aiming to win. When we don’t succeed, we regroup and return to the training ground to improve,” Ouattara added.
The win lifts Hearts of Oak to 7th place with 12 points. They will next face Vision FC in a Matchday 10 clash at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
