Communications Director for Hearts of Oak, Kwame Opare Addo has urged for solidarity following the club’s challenging start to the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.
The Phobian Club began their campaign with a 1-0 loss to newcomers Basake Holy Stars at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Their situation worsened with a 2-0 defeat to Heart of Lions at the Kpando Sports Stadium on Sunday.
Despite the rocky start, Opare Addo is calling for continued support from the fans.
“We didn’t intend to start the season this way, but it has happened, and we have to stay united. We are working on it, and the results will definitely come,” he told Asempa FM‘s Ultimate Sports Show.
“At this moment, we are calling on the fans to support the club, and I know that at the end of the season, we will all smile. We lost to Basake Holy Stars, and even the performance against Heart of Lions was encouraging.
“The team trained yesterday, and the team is determined to bounce back,” he added.
Currently, at the bottom of the Premier League table, Hearts of Oak will aim for their first win of the season when they face Bechem United in the Matchday 3 fixtures this weekend.
