Heart of Lions head coach, Bashir Hayford, remains confident that his team is on the right track after maintaining an unbeaten start to the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.
The experienced Ghanaian coach shared his thoughts following his team’s 2-2 draw against Dreams FC at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex.
The Kpando-based team began their season with a 1-1 draw against Aduana Stars at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park, followed by an impressive 2-0 victory over Hearts of Oak at their home ground, the Kpando Sports Stadium.
In a post-match interview after their encounter with the “Still Believe” squad on Monday, Hayford commended his players and expressed optimism about their current trajectory.
“We have played three matches and we have still not lost so we are on a good track so I think it’s okay and we have to capitalize on this and maybe move forward. It means we have to make sure we maintain our undefeated status for some time,” he said.
He also emphasized the significance of securing points in away matches, saying, “As for away games, if you get a draw, it’s perfect because as for away (games), there are so many dynamics so I think it’s good for me,” he added.
Heart of Lions will aim to extend their positive run when they face Bibiani Gold Stars at the Kpando Sports Stadium in their Matchday four fixture.
