We are NDC but will vote for Bawumia – Some NDC supporters at Atta Mills’s wreath-laying ceremony [Video]

Some individuals claiming to be family members of the late President, Prof. John Evans Atta Mills are anger at National Democratic Congress (NDC) over perceived unfair treatment during the 12th-anniversary wreath-laying ceremony at the Asomdwee Park.

The family members alleged that, they were disrespected by certain party elements and have threatened to vote for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

In a video posted by UTV on X, one family member said, “I am an avid NDC supporter, and everyone in Central Market knows I campaign for Mahama. But today, they didn’t regard or respect us. As family members, we were told to report at the ceremony at 7 am to 12 pm. When we arrived, they told us to leave. Even when we tried to partake in the prayers, they said we shouldn’t do so. I know Mahama is innocent of today’s happening, but he has been clearly affected, so no member of our family will vote for the party”.

Another member lamented, “I am an NDC member, but what they have done today, we are going to break the 8,” he stressed.

The solemn wreath-laying ceremony and memorial service honored the memory of the late former president.

This event provided an opportunity for Ghanaians from all walks of life to pay their last respects and remember the legacy and contributions made to the country by Prof. Atta Mills.
