This terrifying video shows how coronavirus can spread in a restaurant in just 30 minutes – after just one person is infected.
Scientists from Japan recreated the atmosphere at a buffet restaurant or on a cruise ship to look at how far the deadly bug can travel indoors.
Worryingly, they found that just one individual can rapidly spread the virus – after touching communal tableware.
It comes after the government this week announced in its 50-page lockdown document that pubs and restaurants must remain closed until the beginning of July.

The experiment, conducted by the public broadcasting organisation NHK alongside health experts, shows 10 people coming into the restaurant.
One singled out is out as the ‘infected’ person – and has a drop of fluorescent paint rubbed into his hands.
Each participant then enjoys the buffet as they normally would, not considering any potential contamination.
