The Overlord of the Wala State, Wa Naa Fuseini Seidu Pelpuo IV has bestowed a special honour upon the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin.
Speaker Bagbin has been conferred with the Dakagili Naa, which means the ‘Dependable Pond’- a symbol of reliability, strength and wisdom.
The title reflects the values and traditions of the great Wala State.
According to the Wa Naa, just as the Dakagili which is their sacred pond is also a source of life and a sustenance for the people of Wa.
“So too has the Speaker demonstrated his unwavering commitment to the wellbeing of the nation, Ghana,” he said.
