The Director General of the National Lottery Authority (NLA), Sammy Awuku, has described the 2024 general elections as a choice between hope and despair, urging voters to choose hope.
Speaking at the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) final rally at the University of Ghana Sports Park on December 5, Awuku expressed confidence in the next NPP government, led by presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, to deliver on key promises such as job creation, enhancing the free Senior High School (SHS) programme, and ensuring financial stability for citizens.
He encouraged Ghanaians to vote decisively for the NPP in the upcoming election on Saturday.
“The election before us is an election between hope and hopelessness. It’s a contest between the future and the past. The election before us is a destiny vote. The free SHS, job creation, and money in the pockets of the youth are number one on the ballot paper. Don’t play with your destiny, vote wisely. This election is not about a fake promise of offering you three chicks or running shifts at a nightclub. No, not at all. This election is about your future” Awuku declared.
Meanwhile, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has held its final rally at Zurak Park in Madina, as both major parties wrap up their campaigns ahead of the decisive vote.
