As part its Corporate Social Responsibility and support for healthcare initiatives, Virtual Infosec Africa has donated GH¢100,000 to Breast Care International.
This donation aims to enhance breast cancer awareness, screening, education, and support services across communities in Ghana.
As part of celebrating Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Virtual Infosec Africa stressed the importance of education, screening, counseling, advocacy, research, treatment, and support for communities in Ghana.
Speaking to Adom News on behalf of the management of Virtual Infosec Africa, Acting Deputy Sales and Marketing Communications Manager, Esther Abogyewaa urged other companies and institutions to support and give back to the community.
“We hope other companies and institutions will join us in this endeavor to support and uplift our communities,” she said.
Founder and President of Breast Care International the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Peace and Love Hospitals, Dr. Mrs. Beatrice Wiafe Addai, expressed her gratitude to Virtual Infosec Africa for their generous donation.
She also appealed to the government, corporate bodies, and individuals to support the establishment of a cancer center in Kumasi to strengthen cancer care infrastructure in Ghana.
“We are deeply grateful for the support from Virtual Infosec Africa. This donation will significantly impact our efforts in fighting breast cancer. We urge the government and other entities to help us build a cancer center in Kumasi for better cancer care,” Dr Addai noted.
She said the center have been named after the king of Ashanti, Otumfour Osei Tutu II, as the Otumfour Osei Tutu II Comprehensive Cancer Center of Excellence.
According to her, they need support from every Ghanaian to achieve this goal.
