A joint Police and Military team on Monday morning, as part of nationwide swoops, stormed Madina in the Greater Accra region and arrested about 360 suspected criminals.
The operation followed similar swoops at Kasoa Budumburam in the Central region and the Western region.
Speaking in an interview with Adomonline.com, the Accra Regional Police Operations Commander, Chief Superintendent Kwesi Ofori said the operation was based on police intelligence.

“A police and military joint team this morning stormed REDCO Flats between Madina and Adentan, as part of special exercise aimed at suspected criminals; robbery, drug peddlers, and arrested suspected criminals,” he said.
“About 360 people have been arrested and taken to the headquarters for investigations and those found guilty will be put before court,” he said.

Some residents told Adomonline.com that they were excited about the operation and hoped it would continue.
