Desperate customers of Menzgold Friday morning besieged the premises of the court to demand the release of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the firm, Nana Appiah Mensah, popularly known as Nam1.
They stormed there because the CEO has their money and they want it back.
The CEO is standing trial for allegedly defrauding 16,000 people of more than GH¢1.6 billion.

Also facing the law are his sister and wife, Benedicta Appiah and Rose Tetteh, respectively who have been slapped with two counts of abetment to defraud by false pretence and two counts of abetment to carry out banking business without a licence, contrary to Section 6 (1) of Act 930. The two women are, however, at large.
