Speaking in an interview with Joy News, one of the candidates, Mr Mensah said his decision was arrived at after a broad consultation with some delegates and party leaders.
“Though I have always desired to serve as a parliamentarian for my constituency, I believe in the interest of the party so when my delegates told me this is not the actual time, I listened, so now whoever wins, I will resource the person with GH¢1,000.00 every month to support his activities,” he said.
