The atmosphere at a family house at Negersia near Takoradi in the Western region was laden with grief and sorrow as mourners shed tears for five family members killed after their building collapsed on them during a heavy downpour, Friday.
Takoradi was on Friday, May 31 taken over by floods.

Areas such as Anaji, Effiekuma, Sekondi, Kwansarodo and Intankoful among others were completely submerged by the torrential rains.
The police say Auntie Ama, 17, Ama Dekye, 13, Clement Arhin Jnr., 9, Emmanuel Annan, 7, and Beatrice Amoah, 1, were pronounced dead on arrival at the Essikado Government Hospital where family members had rushed them with hopes of survival.
The only survivor, Clement Arhin, 11, is receiving medical attention while the bodies of his siblings have been sent to the Effia Nkwanta Hospital morgue.
