The atmosphere at the funeral service for Lance Corporal Mohammed Awal was that of grief and sorrow as mourners shed tears for the murdered police officer.
Lance Corporal Awal was put to rest on Friday, after the burial service at Abuakwa Zongo in the Ashanti region.

The farewell messages from family members, government appointees moved many to tears as mourners looked to sympathise with the family members.

Lance Corporal Awal, and his colleague, Sergeant Michael Dwamesi of the Kasoa Motor, Traffic and Transport Department, were killed while on duty on Wednesday at Kasoa Budumburam.
