Video: Sarkodie reveals why he released ‘Advice’ song to caution Shatta Wale

-

Rapper Sarkodie says he released his ‘Advice’ song to stop dancehall act Shatta Wale from running his brand through the mud.

The two were friends before things went awful after Shatta Wale called Sarkodie broke and a hypocrite for doing a deal behind him when they’ve both agreed on a particular term.

Shatta Wale, on many platforms, has criticised Sarkodie, saying “he isn’t who the public think he is.”

In a recent interview on Zylofon FM, Shatta Wale said Sarkodie loves to pose as a big boy to him but when he started music, Sarkodie was nowhere close.

Sarkodie released an ‘Advice’ song last year against Shatta Wale which received massive attention in the country.

Speaking on 4 Syte TV, the rapper, detailing why he released the diss song, said it was to address issues.

According to him, Shatta Wale had disrespected him on many occasions even before the said deal came up.

He added that, Shatta was trying to turn friends and family against him, hence he had to put him in his right place.

“If you do your checks, disrespect started way before all that. He has been like that before the show. He knows I would not come out to talk.

“First, I used to see it as fun but it got serious. He is trying to turn the people against me and that is way back. There are times he uses the f word so I contained it for long to build up. After all those things, now ‘Advice’ comes to address that,” he said on the entertainment channel.
