President Akufo-Addo cut the sod for the start of construction of the National Cathedral on March 6, hours before he headed to the Black Star Square for Ghana’s 60th independence anniversary ceremony.
Government has earmarked the Ridge Roundabout area in Accra where the judges live for the construction of the 5000-seater capacity church which is being supported by the clergy in the country.

The project is one of the many legacy projects of the country’s 60th Anniversary Committee.
