On the night when he was honoured for his landmark 100th appearance for Spanish side Athletico Madrid, Ghana international Thomas Partey decided to share the glory with another Ghanaian, dancehall star, Stonebuoy.
Partey was given a march of honour just before Saturday’s game with Rayo Vallecano and he chose no other song than that of Stonebuoy’s Tomorrow.

A man too shy and humble for his feat, Partey walked almost piously onto the field with the sounds and rhythm of Stonebwoy’s “Tomorrow” song blasting at every corner of the field.
For a moment, the field, packed to capacity with almost 80,000 fans was turned into a discotheque, with great lighting effects.
Partey would later return onto the field as a substitute to help his side to a 1-0 victory.
100th appearance for a player is a major feat only few players are able to attain.

It takes loyalty, commitment and good performance for a player to stay that long and achieve that feat.
A statement from the club read:
“Our academy youth product defended our shirt for the 100th time in our match against Rayo Vallecano at the Wanda Metropolitano. These stats are presented and brought to you by bwin.
“Thomas joined our academy back in 2011 and has since then progressed through the ranks until he reached our first team in 2015.
“His debut for the first team came on 28 November 2015 against RCD Espanyol.
“A plaque commemorating Thomas’ 100 matches will be placed in the Wanda Metropolitano’s Walk of Legends.”
