Member of Parliament (MP) for Chereponi constituency in the North East region, Samuel Abdulai Jabanyite broke down in tears in the studio of Joy News as he reflected on the impact of the unresolved conflict between the Chokosis and Konkonbas in the area.
The MP, in an interview on Joy News’ AM show, couldn’t help but bury his head in his handkerchief with tears after a short documentary on the conflict in the North-East region was played.

The MP had watched several residents tell their stories of their limited options following another round of bloodshed that has left two dead.
Reacting to the video, the MP said: “I returned to Accra after spending several days within the constituency and about four days after my return, fury broke out as the Konkonbas and Chokosis began the fourth round of violence in five months,” he narrated amidst tears.
