Video: Kwesi Nyantakyi likens his predicament to Prophet Mohammed

Former President of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi says he takes consolation from the fact that his leader, Prophet Mohammed went through hardship.

“It’s just by the grace of God that I’m still alive. When my issue happened, there were a lot of people who came to me, some were wailing but I didn’t cry, but had a simple message for them. I told them whatever happens is the will of God.

“As a Muslim, if a calamity befalls you, you just thank Allah and pray for faith to meander through the storm and re-establish yourself,” he told some Muslim friends while they broke their fast on Sunday evening in Nima, a suburb of Accra when he held an Iftar.

The former CAF Vice President said he is looking to the Holy Quran for inspiration.

“I take consolation from the fact that our leader and prophet of God went through harsher conditions, and we saw the persecution and even when he had to live Mecca to Medina, he was crying because he had to relocate. But, he fought battles and that is how I see myself and so if a whole Prophet went through that, how about an ordinary person like me,” he stressed.
