VIDEO: Kwesi Arthur narrates his BET experience

Ghanaian rapper, Kwesi Arthur, says it was more than exciting for him to witness from first hand, the 2018 Black Entertainment Awards (BET) that took place last month in the Microsoft Theatre at Los Angeles, USA.

He told Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM that seeing many of the American stars he admired in life in the auditorium gave him goosebumps.

Kwesi disclosed that he was dumbfounded because it never occurred to him that he could be witnessing a worldwide event of that magnitude.

“It was very exciting seeing people I have always seen on TV. Seeing them in real life and having conversations with some of them. I saw Rick Ross, Migos… J Cole and I saw Jay Rock and Wale. I didn’t speak with all of them.  I didn’t know I will do that two months ago and it’s a blessing and I got to make new connections so yeah were winning…”

Asked if he felt disturbed about not winning the award, Kwesi simply said “it was disappointing because I wanted to win for Ghana. They showed too much love and I wanted to win for the country. The nomination made me feel like I’ve been blessed enough…”, he said.
