VIDEO: Intense hunger has turned a lot of men into pastors – Apostle Amoako Atta

-

Head Pastor of Freedom Chapel International, Apostle Francis Amoako Atta, says some preachers are in the business of preaching just so they can make ends meet.

Speaking on Adom FM’s “Black Wednesday” segment hosted by Ohemaa Woyeje, Pastor Atta said some faceless people have turned themselves into “men of God” because of lack of job opportunities for them.

“If there are a lot of work opportunities in the country, lots of these pastors will shun the pastoral work. There are only three jobs in Ghana. It’s either you’re a pastor, politician or you sell herbal medicine…” he said.

He said this on the back of Rwanda’s president, H.E. Paul Kagame closing down over 700 churches in the country for failing to comply with building regulations and for noise pollution.

Asked if Ghana should emulate Rwanda, the man of God urged authorities to constitute a criteria that would guide setting up of churches in the country.

He called on the Ministry for Chieftaincy and Traditional Affairs to take a look at the matter because things are gradually getting out of hand.

“There should be criteria to govern where grievances would be channeled so people can be guided by it”, he noted.

Apostle Amoako noted that some believers are to blame for the preponderance of fake pastors because there always exist clear signs to notice fake pastors.

“Some people know their activities don’t come from God but because they are hungry they will go to the church and take the lotto numbers in the name of getting rich”, he said.
