An aggrieved polling agent, who could not stand defeat, decided to use an unconventional means to mar the electoral process at the Tema East constituency during the National Democratic Congress primary.
The agent, according to reports, tore the ballot papers and chewed some just when sorting had been completed and counting was about to begin.Â
Two people – Mr Isaac Ashai Odamtten, Chief Executive, Tema Metropolitan Assembly and Edward Nii Bediako Crabbe, contested for the slot of parliamentary aspirant for the area and it was unclear who the agent was working for.
But for the prompt intervention of the police, the agent would have brought the entire electoral process to a halt.
