Chelsea FC star Eden Hazard has gifted the First Lady of Ghana an autographed jersey of the London-based football team.
The attacking midfielder is seen in a video with the jersey bearing his number; ‘10’ and saying, “Hi, Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo, this is for you. Bye bye”.
In a tweet, Mrs Akufo-Addo expressed her appreciation and excitement at the gift, describing it as a surprise.
“I believe one of the best surprises I have had so far this year, is receiving a personally signed replica jersey, by one of the world’s best players, Eden Hazard. A Chelsea football player, Belgian international and face of Nike Sports. Thank you so much,” she wrote.
Hazard has played 14 games for his side this season and has netted 16 goals, 12 in the English Premier League, 2 in the UEFA Champions League and 1 in the English League Cup.
