Ghanaian singer Becca before she got married unfollowed all her friends on Instagram including celebrities, family members and even core fans.
Some people registered their displeasure at her action and she trended to the maximum on social media after fans realised she had deleted and unfollowed Chief Executive Officer of Menzgold, Nana Appiah Mensah, popularly known as NAM 1.
Becca knew no peace when critics tagged her ungrateful because they thought her role as an ambassador at Menzgold boosted her career, hence it wasn’t right to unfollow NAM 1.

But, reacting to this on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, Friday, July 5, 2019, Becca explained herself saying it was a deliberate decision to go off social media.
According to her, she was an Instagram addict and had to unfollow everyone to focus on setting up her business.
She added that, she had to only follow her husband because they had tied the knot and it was a way of showing him affection.

Becca debunked the assertion that she unfollowed NAM 1 because he was arrested for ‘scamming’ customers of Menzgold.
“I was following about 10 people but at a certain point I wanted to do business. I am always on Instagram. It was a New Year and I wanted to take my time with social media. It wasn’t because of any malice… I started following my husband when I got married… I knew I had to control things and that was how I was able to birth my spa company,” she said.
