Some taxi drivers on Wednesday hits the streets of Accra to protest over the recent increment in petroleum prices.
The angry taxi drivers who stormed Multimedia and later moved from another media houses in order to get the needed attention expressed worry about the Akufo- Addo-led administration decision to crease fuel prices.
Yaw Berima, who speaks for the drivers told the media during the 2016 general election campaign, Nana Addo and the governing party promised to reduce fuel prices when voted into power but has turned back on them.
The aggrieved drivers are marching through the principal streets of Accra to the Flagstaff House to present their petition to the President.
“During Mahama’s reign, the price of a gallon of petrol was GHC 14.00 but has now increased GHC 21.00. The government is taking our blood (high fuel prices) and giving it back to us to drink (Free SHS)” some drivers lamented.
