President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo has commended Unilever Ghana on its initiative, Unilever Sustainable Living Plan (USLP), which works towards improving the health and hygienic needs of the Ghanaian people, reducing the environmental impact of operations and of consumption of products and enhancing people’s livelihoods.
Unilever Ghana on Monday, January 15, 2019, commissioned three new factories, namely the biomass boiler, the oral care factory and the Personal care at their Tema factory site to increase the manufacturing capacity of the company, as well as creating jobs for the residents within the locality and the country as a whole.
The president who was in attendance recommended other companies in the country to emulate Unilever since such initiatives represent some of the goals of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

The President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo also assured Ghanaians that his government will work continuously to create a stable microeconomic framework and a positive outlook for the business.
The Managing Director of Unilever Ghana, Gladys Amoah speaking in an interview with Adom news also stated, the three new factory plants will support the effort of Unilever on delivering on the USLP through quality products.
