Some 12 people are reportedly in critical conditions in an accident at Gomoa Mampong on the Winneba highway in the Central region.
The accident, according to information gathered by Adom News, occurred due to a crash between a sprinter bus with registration number GT 3820- 16 and a Benz cargo track with registration number GR 3030 on Friday afternoon.

Speaking in an interview with Adom News, a witness, Yaw Mensah said the Benz was heading towards Accra from Winneba.
“I have a carpentry shop along the road so I saw the Benz driver overtake the cars and collided with the sprinter which was coming from Accra,” he said.

According to him, they managed to rescue the victims who were trapped in the cars before the police arrived and took them to the Winneba Trauma Hospital.
