Vice President of Ghana, Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, is set to undergo further medical treatment abroad following a sudden illness.
A statement released by the Presidency on Sunday, March 30, 2025, indicated that the Vice President fell ill after work on Friday, March 28, and received initial treatment at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) on Saturday.
According to medical experts, further care is required, prompting the decision for her to seek advanced treatment outside the country.
The statement, signed by Minister for Government Communications and Presidential Spokesperson Felix Kwakye Ofosu, assured the public of the government’s commitment to ensuring the Vice President receives the best medical attention.
It also expressed well wishes for her speedy recovery.
