Ghana’s fastest rising Highlife singer, Kuami Eugene, says there will be chaos if he is not crowned the ‘Highlife Artiste of the Year’ for the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) in 2019.
According to him, he is currently the only Highlife artiste in the country who has been able to produce highlife music which have all been back-to-back hits songs.

“I’m more focused on the Highlife Artiste of the Year category than the Artiste of the year simply because I cherish Highlife and that is what I do”, he revealed.
When asked about what will happen if the Highlife Artiste of the Year award goes to someone else, the Rock Star and the Lynx Entertainment signed musician said; “that one de3rr, I will cause extra confusion and will not wish anybody well anymore”.

He argued that if he doesn’t get nominated for the Artiste of The Year, he will be cool but warned: “I don’t get nominated for the Highlife Artiste of The Year, it means I’m not working at all. I keep saying highlife is my kind of music and so if I don’t get nominated I will do something to somebody”, he warned.
