Talk about a budding rapper on the Ghanaian music scene and the name Kofi Mole will come easily to you.
Mole is among the ten rappers who were chosen for BET award-winning rapper, Sarkodie’s Biibi Ba song that made lots of waves some weeks ago.
The young artiste has been nominated for “Best Hip-hop Song of the Year” for the upcoming Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).
The emerging rapper, in an interview with JoyNews’s Becky on Lets Talk Entertainment (LET), said he wasn’t happy the VGMA board did not opt for any of his songs.

Mole believes his Mensah song featuring BET nominee, Kwesi Arthur, which has garnered over 634k views on YouTube should’ve guaranteed him a nomination for the 2019 VGMA.
He added that his song has received massive airplay and was highly patronized, compared to songs found on the VGMA’s nomination list.

“I am not happy I wasn’t nominated in the VGMA. I think I had to be there. My song has gone nationwide and I followed the procedures to file my song. To my surprise, after checking the nominee’s list, I was out…The same song was nominated for best hip hop song of the year at the 3 Music Awards…”
Asked if the unfortunate incident has affected his zeal to work, he said:
“I am not sure VGMA [board] could give me any explanation. Maybe I didn’t work much so I would work very hard this year. I don’t have any message for them.”
