Vetting of MMDCE aspirants underway in Bono Region

The vetting process for Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) in the Bono Region is ongoing at the Sunyani Residency to identify qualified individuals for various districts.

The three-day exercise, conducted by the Regional Vetting Committee, commenced on Monday, January 27, 2025, and will assess 124 aspirants from all 12 constituencies in the region.

So far, 36 applicants from Banda, Tain, Wenchi, and Sunyani East districts have appeared before the panel. The process is expected to conclude on Thursday, January 30, 2025.

Kwadwo Takyi Arhin, the Second Vice Chairman of the Bono Region NDC, has urged unsuccessful applicants to rally behind the final nominees, stressing the need for unity and collaboration to advance the region’s development.

Sulemana Adama, a member of the Regional Vetting Committee and representative of the parliamentary caucus, underscored the critical role MMDCEs play in local governance and development.

He emphasized the importance of selecting capable and dedicated leaders to drive progress across the districts.
